LEADERSHIP & RESPONSIBILITY

Leadership has shown up in my life in many different ways, and each one has shaped how I show up for people, how I communicate, and how I handle responsibility. Whether I’m working with a team, managing details behind the scenes, or supporting customers, I’ve learned how much leadership is really about clarity, consistency, and making sure people feel heard. I tend to seek leadership roles professionally and socially; below are three examples where I have grown as a leader.

VARSITY HIGH SCHOOL CHEER

CAPTAIN & LEADERSHIP AWARDS

VARSITY CHEER CAPTAIN of RIVERSIDE HIGH SCHOOL for 2 years: Junior Year (2024–2025) and Senior Year (2025–2026)

Being cheer captain taught me how to lead a team at games, at practice, and during moments when things didn’t go as planned. I learned how to communicate clearly, keep people motivated, and set the tone for the group. It was important that I knew my routines and helped others who were struggling, but it was also about creating a space where everyone felt included, prepared, and confident. This role pushed me to be organized, patient, and steady, even when the pressure was high.

AWARDS

Coaches Award, Senior Year (1 of 3 awards handed out, 2025–2026 season)
Star Cheer Leader, Freshman Year (1 of 3 awards handed out, 2022–2023 season)
First Team All-Region Cheerleader, Senior Year (2025–2026 season) – First Team All-Region is the highest level of regional recognition in cheerleading (short of state or national honors). It means I was selected as one of the very top cheerleaders in the region, chosen from many schools and decided by coach nominations and regional voting. It is awarded to athletes across all schools in the region based on skill, leadership, consistency, and contribution.
Second Team All-Region Cheerleader, Sophomore Year (2023–2024 season) – Second Team All-Region is the second-highest level of regional recognition in cheerleading, decided by coach nominations and regional voting across all schools in the region based on skill, leadership, consistency, and contribution, and is an honor especially for a sophomore competing with seniors in the division.

CLASS TREASURER

CLASS TREASURER
Class Treasurer for 3 years: Sophomore Year (2023–2024) through Senior Year (2025–2026)

Serving as Riverside High School’s class treasurer for three years gave me a different kind of leadership experience. To be elected, my peers had to trust me and see me as responsible. I am naturally organized and love math, which made budgeting and tracking spending easy for me, and I really enjoyed organizing our class events and fundraisers and making sure we stayed on track financially. This role also taught me how to communicate transparently and make decisions that affected more than just me. Even though this role isn’t highlighted anywhere else on my site, it was one of the most important ways I learned to lead through reliability and follow-through.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE LEAD

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE LEAD – Nutrition Customer Experience at Stellar Labs: Leading Through Communication

Working in customer experience at Stellar Labs showed me how leadership can happen through conversations. I learned how to listen, problem-solve, and communicate in a way that builds trust. I also learned that the way information is presented and how quickly someone gets a response can change a customer’s experience and win or lose the customer pretty quickly. This job helped me understand leadership as service: being clear, helpful, and making sure people feel cared for and listened to.
